Spring Concert Picnic

Rancho Starbuck Quad
Bring Lawn Chairs, Blankets and a Picnic Dinner
Students should arrive at 5:30 PM to warm-up and are expected
to stay for the entire concert.
Concert will be finished by 7:15 PM.
Attire for Beginning Band and Intermediate Band
Boys
White, short-sleeve or long-sleeve, button-down dress shirt with a collar
Black Dress Pants (no jeans or shorts)
Black Socks
Black Dress Shoes (no tennis shoes, sandals or flip flops)
Neck Tie (any color)
Girls
White (short-sleeve, 3/4 –sleeve or long-sleeve) button-down dress blouse/shirt with a collar
Black Dress Pants (no jeans or skirts)
Black Dress Shoes (no tennis shoes, sandals or flip flops)

Wind Ensemble Shirt
Black Dress Pants (no jeans, shorts or skirts)

Small Groups
This week there is rehearsal after school Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15-3:45 for any student playing in a small group. These groups will perform Thursday, May 15 at Open House.

Parent Conferences
Due to the Knott's Berry Farm Performance this Friday, I will only be available for parent conferences Thursday, April 17. Parent-teacher conferences are from 1:25-3:10 PM. If you are unable to make it to conferences Thursday, please contact me for an appointment.
Knott's Berry Farm Performance
The Wind Ensemble will be performing at the Community Arts Showcase at Knott’s Berry Farm Friday, April 18th. It is imperative that each member attends this performance, as we will be representing our school and our community. Please contact Mrs. Carruth with any questions or concerns.

8:15 AM Attend HR, 1st Period and 2nd Period
9:30 AM Meet in Band Room/Load Equipment
9:45 AM Depart Rancho Starbuck
10:15 AM Arrive at Knott’s/Unload Equipment
10:30 AM Warm-Up
11:30 AM Perform
12:00 PM Change Clothes/Store Equipment
12:30 PM Have Fun in the Park
3:00 PM Check-in With Mrs. Carruth
5:30 PM Meet at the Western Entrance/Load Equipment
5:45 PM Depart Knott’s
6:30 PM Return to Rancho Starbuck
Students Should Bring…
♪ Money for lunch and snacks ($25 recommended).
♪ Instrument, music and extra supplies, (reeds, valve oil, etc.).
♪ Performance attire and a change of clothes.
Students Should Not Bring…
♪ Electronic devices.
♪ Any valuable items.
Other Information
♪ There is a $20 non-refundable fee per student due Thursday, April 3rd. Please make checks payable to “Rancho Starbuck.” Cash is also acceptable. If this is a financial difficulty for any family, please contact Mrs. Carruth ASAP.
♪ All students must ride the bus to and from the event. Students may not be dropped off or picked up from the park.
♪ Students should come to school wearing the designated Wind Ensemble performance attire. Only those students wearing the appropriate attire will attend the event.
♪ Parents and anyone else wishing to attend the performance will need to purchase a ticket at the front gate of Knott’s Berry Farm. The park hours are 10 AM-6 PM.

We are in need of a few parents to chaperon this event. If you are available and willing to help, please contact Mrs. Carruth ASAP. Thanks!

Music Man Field Trip
The field trip is this Thursday, March 6th. Students are to attend homeroom and then meet in the band room at 8:25 AM. We will return at approximately 12:30 PM. Please contact Mrs. Carruth with any questions or concerns.
